It can withstand all my every day hazards that can be thrown its way. This includes everything from the dust and lint from my pocket to an unexpected water event such as rain. The exterior paint finish can even resist the scratches from being on my key ring. The storage space and transfer performance are everything you can expect from a 3.0 usb flash drive. It gives people like a piece of mind not to have to transfer every file through a cloud service. This is a great product that I hope Samsung continues to develop.

I can use it for so many different things like saving my work files, to personal pictures and videos. I always have it on the go for everything I need since I'm always doing new projects and work. I can keep everything organized and easily transfer files from one computer to another. I used to buy 6GB flash drives and I'd always get so frustrated because they never lasted long or I constantly had to override them and save files elsewhere. It was annoying trying to figure out what other 6GB flash drive had the files I needed. This flashdrive is a lifesaver.

I love that there were different colors to pick from. That may not be a huge detail for everyone but I like having the choice. And it just so happened to match my phone case color, too, so it's perfect. There's plenty of room on it for me with the 32 GB. I haven't even used a quarter of the storage space up yet and I've cleared my phone's gallery out twice with it already. If you're looking for some extra storage space I'd highly recommend considering this flash drive.

The ice-maker in my fridge, the clothes washing machine and 2 of these little guys. Used them both for less than 2 months (random stuff at half or less capacity). Then I used both to back up my WEDDING photos and HONEYMOON/TRIP TO EUROPE. Fast forward 8 months and neither will even read from any device even the one that put the data on it. Devastating to lose all of those memories. My wife still won't forgive me and refuses to use Samsung anything because of this.

I was given a 128GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive BAR Plus (Black) as a gift recently. A colleague of mine borrowed it to do some file transfers. The files copied OK but when he plugged it in to the other computer it was not recognised. It does not work on any of my five computers. Very disappointed.

Realized it was time for an upgrade since that device was 10 years old. Safe to say, quite happy with this product. Copy speeds are lightning fast and I put videos/recordings on it and view it off of my monitor/tv, which is also super smooth. Easy to carry around and does not get that warm when in use. Gets super cold to touch when it’s colder but I’m not complaining lol. Highly recommend if you need an improvement as well.

I have used several other brands and always has issues whether it was not the size it said it would be or they would be slow or just stop working and I would lose dara. I finally bit the bullet and went with the more expensive option. Now Samsung is my only option. They are what they say they are. Its reliable, easy to use and I yet to have one fail. I don't care to much about the look of it. But they are very reliable, fast and work with everything i have needed it for.

The metal body is solid, looks great on a keychain, and has survived a few accidental drops (and even a coffee spill) without a scratch. It’s lightning-fast when you’re opening files or watching a movie directly off the drive, though saving large files *to* the drive takes a bit longer than I’d like. Since it’s metal, it also acts like a little radiator and gets pretty warm to the touch after a big transfer, but it hasn't caused any actual issues. I've gone through a number of USBs, however this one is by far the most reliable in terms of storage, speed at which I can copy and move files and add folders within the flash drive. It is convenient, and efficient especially considering there is so much storage I'm at ease knowing I won't need to buy another for a while. It's aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well--overall a great product.

I am an engineer working on civil engineering and it requires reliable data device which should be sturdy and compatible for various situations like extreme weather conditions, multiple OS ,and differences types of devices. This Drive in particular is solid in its weight, which is totally fine to me, cause at least I know it is made well and can take a beating. I have personally dropped my drive in water, and put it through the ringer multiple times, and it still has yet to fail me. I am tech-savvy, so I know that the advertised speeds will only run in the best scenarios with compatible devices or hardware. If you want a trustworthy drive, look no further. I use this for school and have another one I use to load operating systems on computers that are in constant use. All I can say is, in my experience, Samsung storage devices have yet to fail me.

This 128gb BarPlus usb 3.1 flash drive arrived today, and when I tried to migrate my win 10 OS onto it it was "unsuccessfull" (EaseUs system clone) and now cannot be recognised even by my PC bios (Uefi). Rugged outside; Fragile inside!.

This is a great flash drive. The design allows for pocket carry. The transfer speeds are extremely fast. I purchased 20 total of these drives for restoring baseline images via acronis. The 3.1 speeds are drastically greater than the 3.0. Also, if considering purchasing the 648Gb, the speeds between the two are drastically in favor of the 128Gb version. Invest the few extra dollars in the 128Gb version for the significantly upgraded transfer speeds.

A bunch of thermal extremes too. I'm so very impressed by this little drive. I had a SanDisk before this, and it was fine enough, but at some point after a year and a half (right after the warranty went out) it began intermittently working. So I got the Samsung, and haven't looked back. 10/10

I've used this device for over a year. I used it pretty hard when I first got it. It was a drive for a Windows 10 IoT install on a Raspberry Pi 4 for almost 2 months. The drive still writes data at around 230 MB/s and reads at almost 380 MB/s consistently. On USB 2, it starts at around 300 MB/s but slows down to 6.7 MB/s and stays there for the rest of the transfer. This is a solid USB drive. Best one I've used so far.

I just bought this drive since the price/gb was quite attractive. Upon receipt, I transferred about 140 gb of data from my Lenovo L380 SSD to the new flash drive. Oh, boy, the write speeds are so inconsistent - started at 50-60 MB/sec and dropped down to 1MB/sec, after about an hour and half and the drive was getting hot. I think read/write speed slows down significantly when the drive gets hot. I am not happy.....

The metal body is sleek and seems well built. The form looks great and doesn't get in the way of other drives. One issue is the write and read speeds are very slow. I've run many tests and I'm getting 25 mbs. The same as my USB 2 devices. It's a good price for a large amount of memory. Just don't trust their reported speeds. "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" doesn't mean anything about normal write speeds.

I don't know why there are bad reviews on the USB, but I been using this USB more than 2-3 years and never had an issue. Most of parts I liked about this USB is the unbreakable material, speed of transfering files and opening USB, and it never got overheated. Depending on computer, but in my case it took me 10 second to open the USB on PC or sometimes it's less than 10 seconds.

I bought this about 2 months ago & its one of the best decisions I've made regarding USB drives. I have had badluck with finding the right drive for me. However, this drive is perfect! The space is perfect & allows for plenty of photos,videos,etc. Not to mention how easy it is to use & find on a computer !

it stopped workiing after 7 months. had slow writing speeds of less than 40 mb/s in a windows laptop where its reading speeds only reached a max of about 200 mb/s. heated up by 10°c of room temperature within the first 15-20 minutes of being plugged in to a usb 3.0 port. what a waste of money.

Died after 30-40 mins first use. I put about 80gb of files on the drive then it disconnected. I tried other ports and the TV. Nothing.it makes the connection noise but no drive shows up. If you leave it in, every few minutes it will connect and disconnect, but the drive still does not show up.

I was amazed at how small, but mighty it is. This is my new number 1 flash drive, I mainly store my movies, videos and pictures on mine. I put most all of my movies, pictures and other short videos on it and it's still not 1/2 full. The cherry on top is its water, shock, and even x-ray proof.

Big disappointment. The read speed is OK, but the write speed is unbelievably poor. I get 260 MB/sec read speed. Writing is less than 60 MB/sec. Snoooooooooooze. Don't buy this product. The advertising "Up to 300MB/s Data Transfer Speed" is grossly misleading.

I have had my BAR 128GB Flash Drive for about a year now. Today, it went through a complete wash cycle and a partial dry cycle (not intentional of course). All files still accessible and drive is functioning normally. And yes, nice and clean : )

It worked well for only 1 month, today the recording speed was 60 mb/s, and then it dropped to 4 mb/s. Formatting the flash drive to the exFAT and NTFS file systems did not help. Speed remains low. Poor quality product.
